Di kesempatan ini kami ingin mengucapkan selamat bercuti dan menyambut hari raya aidilfitri, mohon maaf zahir dan batin kepada semua guru-guru, penuntut-penuntut serta kakitangan Ma’had Islam Brunei. Tidak di lupakan juga kepada semua muslimin dan muslimat di mana saja mereka berada, sama ada yang di Brunei atau di perantauan.
Selasa, 16hb. September 2008 bertempat disurau Ma’had Islam Brunei berlangsung Majlis bertedarus Al Quran dan penyampaian derma anak-anak yatim Ma’had Islam Brunei. Tetamu kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Ustazah Hajah Norjainah binti Haji Buntar, Ketua Unit Sekolah-Sekolah Arab, Jabatan Pengajian Islam. Majlis yang bermula pada 830 pagi itu dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al Fatihah dan seterusnya bertedarus Al Quran serta bacaan Tahlil dan Doanya. Selepas itu ucapan Puan Pemangku Pengetua Ma’had Islam Brunei Ustazah Hjh Hamdiah binti Hj Mohd Salleh dan di ikuti pula ucapan tetamu kehormat.

Dimajlis ini, sebanyak lapan orang anak yatim menerima derma sumbangan dari pegawai-pegawai, guru-guru serta kakitangan Ma’had Islam Brunei, pemborong-pemborong dan sumbangan peribadi daripada tetamu kehormat.
Derma disampaikan oleh tetamu kehormat.
Majlis di akhiri dengan penyampaian cenderahati kepada tetamu kehormat.

Today M.I.B has organised a workshop for teachers in the college. The invited speaker was Pg. Dr. Hidup Samsuddin, Penolong Yang di-pertua Adat Istiadat.
The objective of the workshop was to educate the teachers on how to communicate with the vvips and vips in particular. Here, I would like to share some interesting findings:
To be honest, an hour session is insufficient. However, it was great gaining some knowledge related to Bahasa Dalam. The workshop also witnessed souvenirs presentation to our outgoing religious education officers, Ustaz Hj Muliadey and Ustazah Hjh Norasrahwati who will be leaving for Cairo soon.

As everyone knows, our principal Ustazah Hjh Omi Klsum is currently pursuing her masters in UNISSA commencing August this year together with Ustazah Hjh Russinah (Guru Kanan Akademik). Soon, two of our teachers, Ustazah Hjh Norasrahwati and Ustaz Hj Muliadey will be leaving for Eqypt on 11 September and will be taking ILI course for a year. Also with them is our former colleague, Ustazah Amal of Sekolah Arab Belait.
On the students front, I am proudly to inform that this year two of our former Thanawi 5A students are currently pursuing their A levels in the UK. Abd Rahman Shukri, whom has been awarded DANA scholarship is now in Leighton Park School meanwhile Ahmad Mujaahid has been awarded a scholarship under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
